Our research focuses on sources and processes that control aerosol properties in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere (UTLS) region with global-scale implications for climate and UTLS chemistry. We study the aerosol composition across a wide range of environments, from tropical monsoon to extratropical regions. To do this, we use aircraft-based observations, aerosol mass spectrometry, air mass history modelling and laboratory studies.
